S&W hand cannon
The RSO at the outdoor range I use brought out his 500 one day last summer. It was raining buckets and my son in law and I were the only shooters at the range. Gunny offered us a box of green tips and his pistol rest to try our hand. That was fun .. a blast if you will allow the awful pun. We shot a...

My ammo for /22LR
I thought I'd add mu 2 cents worth... I have 3 .22 LR pistols - each from a different manufacturer. I find the CCI round nose SV and Mini-mags are great. Recently, for bulk purchases (gun show specials) I have shot 1500+ rounds of Blazer through them. All of these have performed well. I am reluctant...

I remember that
Georgezilla... I recall that post.. with pics. Ruger22 provided a link to the other forum. I was wondering how that was resolved. Ruger wanted the gun returned ... or just return the cylinder? In either case, that 7 fluted six shooter would be lost in the QC dept at Ruger forever. (Brings to mind th...

Ditto
I scanned all the posts by Japle ... in case I missed something, too. But B&OM has a good question. I cannot find in the 5 posts by Japle 1. The model of S&W pistol and 2. the problem that prompted him to return the gun to Smith for warranty service. Also, is this a new gun.. or a long time friend? ...

QC and a second look
Welcome to GTO form, Japle. I have been very fortunate with all the handguns I bought (recent to the sport). Only mt GSG 19911 failed with a split barrel bushing (ATI/GSG replaced it with a steel one). Establishing a good relationship with the proprietor of your favorite LGS is always a good idea. I...

I have this nagging feeling that we would end up with a stack of rants if posting rights are re-installed.

Ya know...?
From his first post thta guy seemed to be out of step with the other members on this forum. I hope he finds some kindred spirits somewhere else... far, far away. I even had trouble reading / understanding his posts... I could not tell if all that lower case shorthand was deliberate.. or the best he....

Oh Boy..
Greener.. I am probably persona non grata in Michigan now. My apologies to all Michiganders!. My last manager would spend much of his summer vacation in the Upper Peninsula. He returns with raves about the country, scenery, fishing and life style. A regular live chamber of commerce poster child. We ...

All good things are worth waiting for
Hi Bliss. And welcome to the GTO forum. You found the right place for all the best information.. and idle chatter about Ruger pistols.. including the 22/45. You made a great choice to restart your fun with firearms. Please note that the 22/45 has a few quirks for disassemble. (Bullseye's reference m...

Paradise
Someone was drinking some really potent stuff... or smoking something illegal.. to think that Detroit could become paradise-like. :D I like Michigan and Michigan-ers, though.. I can tolerate the left coast as it is now. What I would like to see slip off the country's right coast and float out to sea...

Enjoy the good times
When initially considering that 12/21/2012 end-of-days story, I thought about max'ing out all my credir cards to buy ever bucket list / wish lists I have... Maybe open a few new cards - as I will not be here to pay nor the lenders to recover. But then.. I recall all the panic about Y2K disasters tha...

seven flutes on a six shooter
I see that the original poster / gun owner, reports that S&W is closed until January 2. So, the next chapter of that story has yet to be written. One observation is that there are more than a few numbskulls on that forum. Makes me appreciate all the more the caliber ( no pun intended) of members here.
