I got out of reloading for several years when the price of everything started to skyrocket. Then came 2009... A trip to the gun shop would go something like this: "Do you have any .357s?" "No. Probably next week or so. Same with the .38s" ".45 Autos?" "They've been on backorder for 3 months now." "H...

I've been using the Lee dippers to home in on a charge weight for 40 years. (I've got the black ones that came in a cool compartmentalized box.) However, I just picked up an RCBS dribbler from Gander Mountain for $8 on clearance sale. So far, it is easier creeping up on the correct weight with littl...

I'm with Bear et al on this one.
Back in the early 70s I started reloading using a manual Lee Loader - ya know the kind where you use a hammer? I had a primer go off while beating a .44 Mag case down onto it, and Geez-Oh-Man that hurt for hours!
Got a Lyman press the next day.

Latex doesn't stand up too well against solvents and oil. You may want to try the blue nitrile-type gloves instead. Available at Harbor Freight for cheap, I find them pretty durable.

I put it on my Single Six to check fit, and it did, but it was beyond ugly, and massive overkill besides. I normally value function over appearance myself, but this was just too ugly to bear. Same feeling here, Downeaster. I thought the monogrip would provide a better hold on my Super Blackhawk .44...

I too was contemplating some type of holding device for pistol cleaning when I came across a vacuum based articulating vise at Harbor Freight. http://www.harborfreight.com/2-3-4-quarter-inch-articulated-vacuum-vise-3311.html My only regret is that I didn't spot it sooner. It's got slip-on rubber jaw...
