I have banged up some of my custom guns in the past. The good/bad news on this one is that if I scuff it, I have to fix it! Yes, I will be shooting it! Im not one for safe queens! I will post some groups once I get it out some!

Nice looking Stock...... You said forward weight barrel did you mean scope :D Where I shoot during the winter it is inside a heated building thru a window. The heat escaping around the shooter makes for a very bad mirage. I have had targets completly disapear in the scope. These long extensions on ...

I used Krylon Fusion white for the base coat, the red and blue are also Krylon. The pearl flake is a separate coat in a clear base. It was then covered with several coats of clear laquer!

The only time I have had this happen was on a rifle that had too much oil around the firing pin and it was in 20d weather.. This was about 25 years ago and after I cleaned the area good and got rid of the excess oil it worked perfect..

Swapped one MKII for another one!!

I went to vist an old gun friend this weekend. I took some of my guns along with me. I took one of my 2 MKII 10" ss along with me. I had no plans to get rid of it, but he was very interested in it and his health is not well at all so I decided I would do some trading with him. He traded me a SS MKII...

Well, both the ammo and pistol have been shipped to Hornady for their inspection. The ammo will then be shipped to CCI and the pistol to Taurus. I will update as soon as I hear anything.

I have not removed the 2 fired casings yet. I am leary in doing much until I talk to Hornady about this. Depending on what they say today, I may start working on it tonight after work..

The barrel is clear, the bullet from this shot hit about 8" lower than the other rounds fired. The remains of the casing are still in the cylinder..

Major case failure, 17HMR

I decided to take my Taurus Tracker in 17HMR out this morning for a little target practice. I was using the only ammo I use which is Hornady V-Max. The first cylinder of 7 rounds went perfect, but on the second cylinder 10th shot for the day it went wrong.. I'm glad it was cold and I was wearing som...

I have 6 MKII's similar to what you are refering too, minus the barrel.. I also have a S&W 41. The Smith has a slight lead in the accuracy department, maybe even very slight.. But the balance and trigger are nowhere near the same. I believe the 41 wins easily here..
