Thanks!! I was thinking about the push it off method you mentioned. I am waiting for it to warm up some before I attempt it. Either that or bring it in the house where it is warm enough to do it. I cleaned it up and now I can see what I am working on. It looked like it had never been cleaned since i...

The MSRP started out at $380 +/- and since the SHOT Show it has already jumped to around $420. By the time it hits the dealers it will probably raise even more. I figure you will pay $450-$475 to take one home.

quick question

I am getting ready to replace my trigger with the replacement I picked up. What do you use to get the e-clip off? There isn't much room to grab it. Will I have enough play to change the trigger without removing the sear? I am wondering if there is enough movement in the disconnector assembly to just...

Ruger MKI trigger replacement

Can a Ruger MKII trigger be used as a replacement drop in trigger for a MKI or earlier pistol? Mine is a Standard pistol with no MK designation. made around 1975. Someone previously purposely or accidentally put enough pressure on the trigger to take the round curve out of it where your finger pulls...

Thanks for the info and excellent pictures. Since I have a couple MKII uppers to choose from the biggest issue would be the spring and plunger hole. I think I will keep this gun as shipped from the factory for now. I have enough projects for the time being. I will have to remember to count to nine w...

adding bolt hold open option on a MKI ?????

I am wondering if the MKI A100 frame can be retrofitted with MKII parts to use the MKII hold open on an empty Magazine feature. I was just eyeballing the one I got with a 12-***** serial number (1974-75). It looks like all the parts would fit and I would have to change the hammer pin,Add the externa...

I got it back together and working. It looks like I missed the hammer strut and had it pinched against the plastic frame by looking at the indents the hammer strut made in the frame. Everything is working fine now. I need to find a MKII complete lower and a bolt for my original barrel now. The origi...

I found this http://www.guntalk-online.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3920 13 threads down and was able to remove mainspring housing with the muzzle into wood method of hammer drop. I haven't tried to reassemble again yet as I don't understand what went wrong. Does anyone have any ideas of what may have ...

22-45 stuck after reassembly

I know in the past I have read how to remedy this problem but I want to be sure I do it right. I picked up a 6" standard barrel assembly to put on my MKII 22-45. I took off the 22-45 barrel and first assembled with the new MKII 6" assembly without the bolt to check fit of the barrel to the frame. ev...

I called him back after reading your post and after I removed the sear from the gun and verified that we were talking about the same part. Thanks for making me double check!

I'm not really sure Bullseye. The part that is broken is part#5 but it has a flattened hook the engages the firing fin.I have seen that part looking both round and with a flattened hook in different schematics. The schematic at http://www.gun-parts.com/erma/ is actually showing an Erma EP22. I conta...
