Bullseye, I took the Dremel to the FRONT feed lips. I just rounded off the pointed corners - nothing drastic. The #1 Mag still stove piped! Then I went back and re-read the instructions which clearly say round off the REAR feed lips. Sigh....... So then I rounded off the rear feed lip front edges. I...

Thanks, Zed. 2mm works great. I love the 92. I've been modifying it a bit which is fun but I don't have much experience in gunsmithing. I put Beretta adjustible rear sights on it. I've got it it sighted in very well. Better than my old eyes. I sent away for Brownell's Spring Kit. I put the lighter m...

Mag Questions

I have shot 2 bricks with my MKIII. I really love it but have an occasional stovepipe with CCI Standard Velocity Ammo. I have 3 mags and numbered them. I read the excellent post explaining why the top of the mag has to be 1/16" below the ejector. All 3 mags look good but after testing....I only get ...

Beretta 92FS

I picked up a used 92FS last week. I really like it using it at the range. They do shoot nice. I was disappointed that the fixed sights shot about 3" left at 50 feet. Have decided to put an adjustible rear sight on it and if it shoots better, to use it for my Pin Shoot Pistol. It is such a big heavy...

I entered my first Pin Shooting Event today. I used the MKIII with more success that the P239. I have the MKIII's sights adjusted real well and I was suprised a bit but how readily the .22 knocked them over. THere was no problem if you hit the pin low. Great fun. There were some pretty good shooters...

Thanks, to all you guys for the tips. My Sig 239 definitely shoots to the white dot on the front sight being on line with the top of the horizontal rear sight. (I just have 1 dot on the front and a vertical white line on the rear sight.) It shoots about 3" low at 50 feet if you line up the top of th...

Dumb Question on Sig Sights

I'm breaking in two new pistols. My Ruger MKIII sights as I've always been taught. You horizontally align the top of the front sight with the top of the rear sight at 6:00 o'clock on the target. I had to adjust the rear sight for windage a couple of clicks but that was it. I love that Ruger. Don't b...

Thanks

Bullesye, Thanks for all your help on the Field Stripping of the MKIII. Just got one last week and was able to do the job. I agree with you that it is pretty straight forward after doing it once or twice. I think your photos are great but the technique is hard to describe in words or photos.....a sh...
