From everyhting that I have seen, the MK series will outperform the Charger unless you re-barrel the charger.

That is a beautifull rifle.

Man, I need to stop messing around and get me a top shelf rifle sooner or later.

I'm just happy that one is available for purchase now. It may not be any "better" but it is nice to be able to buy un-registered parts for things that I own without having to send it back to the factory.

Welcome!

You picked a fine pair to get started with, but be carefull, .22's can breed like rabbits if you don't keep an eye on them! :)

I agree. I drilled and tapped my Clark trigger for a pre-travel screw, and ended up having to leave it out. Once the fitting was done, there was no need for one.

Is it possible that this was one of the "early" model LCI's that didn't have the "flex" mechanism like the new ones, and got jammed up and hit the rim?

I have used clear fingernail polish in a pinch. It was was Wife's and not mine - Had to say that before the jokes started! :) Permatex also makes a blue medium thread lock - Should be available at Lowe's and Home Depot. Those pictures were shocking. I thought that I had an idea of what he had done wrong, but my imagination wasn't nearly close to the actual damage that was done to your pistol. :( Bright side though, it sounds like you are going to get a nice shooting pistol in the end anyways. I use a lot of VQ inte...

Tough lesson though. Sure do hope that it goes back together OK. The problem with most Gunsmith's today is just like you described it, and it's really kinda sad that most of the people touting themselves as smith's have little more than a basic understanding of firearms. Truth be told, with so much ...

Kidd makes a trigger for the MK series?

Also, on the extended release, I actually really like mine, but only use it for locking the slide back. It still can come in handy.

I have an MKIII 512 that will print less than 1" at 25 yds with mid grade ammo. So far with these pistols most of the limitation that I have had getting good groups is all me.

You got it right, the 22/45 versions of either the MKII or the MKIII require a pretty major "modi" to make them useable with removable grip panels.
