What Do You Use To Protect Your SS

I've always used Eezox, Break Free CLP or CorrosionX on my guns including the SS's. I'm considering a little shine/luster with Renaissance Wax, Flitz, Wenol, or a damn good auto wax. How 'bout you? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Rimfire01/MKIIILeaves2tk2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums...

For CA, as previously posted I use the duals from E&L with a double speedloader pouch on my belt for carry. 5 double speedloaders @ 40 rounds per = COPIUS rounds when in pursuit of those waskely squeaks! But just out of curiosity I bought a Tri Mag. Actually, not that bad for walkin' around and surp...

Got it! Thanks again, Bullseye. You always seem to anticipate the questions and concerns of the folks here and elsewhere and answer with accurate and timely info.
Never an agenda just the enjoyment of safe shooting! :)
So refreshing and appreciated!

Yeah, Bullseye! I think I had that in the back of my "alleged mind" the whole time! Now to work on switching the follower button on a couple of mags and a red dot & base!

I found some (A-100) and put them on his gun today for a gift!
The old ones were cracking and rather abused. He was jazzed! :D
Now he's decided to start shooting it again!

Thanks for the valuable dialogue guys. I'm learning! The referenced guy is out of town for a few more days but when he gets back I'll be armed with real info! This gun is worthy of rescue. I just hope it's not the A-54 frame. I always get a jolt rescuing a 1022 or a MK and putting it back with a hap...

Thanks Bullseye! I was afraid of that. I'll check it out and get back. I had seen one designated A100 but then realized there may have been another type. Just want to replace the orig plastic grips as a gift and help him out. I thought I'd "clean up" the gun for him in my spare time. The grips appea...

Ruger MKI Help

Since getting back into shooting I've run into some old shooting buddies. One's got a MKI which is in need of some reconditioning including grip replacement. I've surfed the usually places Numrich, Ruger, Midway but am not finding much for MKI
Any tips?
TIA

Here's another way to go. A belt will accommodate many of these @ 20 rounds a piece. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Rimfire01/MagsCarriers-1-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Rimfire01/Dualclip.jpg The connector is really inexpensive. The speedloader pouches a little more but........

Thanks for the welcome back Georgezilla!
Yeah, his HS is a sweet shooter with a great trigger but my first thought was as yours. The mount would have to be so unorthodox it could to take the fun out of it. I wonder how much coaxing it would take to get him into a MKIII or even an older MKII.

Red Dot For A Hi Standard Supermatic

Been gone for too long but back into rimfire shooting. I've been spending quality time with my MKII and MkIII equipped with Red Dots. A buddy tried my shooters and got the fever. He's got a very old Hi Standard Supermatic on which he'd like to mount a red dot. At first glance it doesn't appear to be...

bd1 welcome! "I" did this for my MKII/ Millet RD SP-1 via Bullseye's directions. It helps to have some "internal, domestic" help! :) If I can find the "how to" I'll post it!
