yes this is the same M41, I put it back to gather with new bolt and new pin from Gil Hebard and it was not much better than with old bolt, I called S&W but the guy I talked to did not know as much as i did and he said he did not know if it should be tight or not, and he would just put it back gather...

It saddens me to here of some one being killed by a nut case, but i agree if we want to have the the right to own guns we should be able to take them any where we fell the need, be it to school, movie, shopping or hunting. I think some of these movies and video games might put ideals in some of the ...

it is more fun for the young to see something happen when you shoot, we use a piece of plywood with 1x4 notched works great. you can set clays up or empty shotgun shells on 1x4

I found some dimensions on a 1911 forum and when I checked the new ED Brown extractor it was too long and too tall.
It was hitting bevel on with top of hook and rim was not hitting extractor I honed it to new dimensions but have not tried it yet.

the cross pin holes in slide are only about .002 bigger than pin. but I think the slide was made wrong to start out with be cause when I put the bolt in (pushed all the way in till the lug on top of bolt hits the slide) then try to put pin in it will not go until you move to bolt about .003 or .004 ...

I think I will hone the new ED BROWN extractor on that lower corner on top and in area where bevel is shown, it shows a brass deposit on that corner,
does any one sell a extractor that is tuned to through lower for those that use a red dot with low rings?

I don't have a good way to measure small holes but it looks like it has .002 to .003 over size in slide and .003 to .004 over size in new bolt. I can put new bolt in and it will go all the way aft but when I put new cross pin in I have to move bolt forward .oo4 to get pin in (with pin in and bolt pu...
