David: I received the QS on Dec 6. I have not had time to use it on the range. I see about the mounting. I am going to try it as is and see if my arm does not get to tired. Do you think a Dremmel Tool is sufficient to make the extra groove in case I decide to do it?? Regards Pistolero 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)...

Follow bullseye's advice.
All you need to replace is the sear and the extractor. Do not waste money on kits. I only replaced the trigger because VQ had a bargain bin sale on target triggers $15. Else I would have left the original trigger. Hope this helps.

Correction
Hello: I stand corrected. VQ is selling bargain bin sears for $12. They may have cosmetic flaws but are 100% operational. VQ people stand behind their products. Regards Pistolero

Mark 3 upgrades(minimum cost)
Hello:
Just replace the sear and ejector. I followed Bullseye's advice and had no regrets. The man knows his Rugers. Look at the Volquartzen website they have sears for $15 in their bargain bin. Regards , Pistolero

Mark III Ammo
I only shoot standard velocity. I did replace the extractor at the suggestion from Bullseye. No more ejection problems after that.

Kimber VS Ruger.
If I was entering a competition, I would get the best pistol and ammo money could buy. But if I want to just shoot for enjoyment. I go for the Ruger. A friend has $2000 Hamerlli(.22). I can out shoot him with my High Standard Military Citation Model. When I decided to buy another .22, Ruger was the ...

Welcome chadflys
Here is a small rhyme I use. Chadflys. WELCOME
Front sight clear
And flush with the rear.

Too lazy to clean.
I found this to be the best indicator of when it is time to clean. When you own more than one firearm is too much work to clean and clean.

Double shots.
I have experienced this before with my High Standard .22 and my Colt .45ACP. I noticed that this happens when I do not clean the pistols after firing thousands of rounds through them. After a good cleaning the problem disappears. Since I do not like cleaning. When the pistols start to double tap aft...

Ammo sales
After scouring the internet for 22 ammo. The only place I recommend is The Armory. They have good prices on 22 std velocity. I shoot Aguila brand. If you are not entering competitions. This is good ammo. If you do not mind paying for shipping I suggest you try them. I recently bought a 1/2 of case 2...
