Re: 1911 grip screws

For what it is worth, I was tryng to keep Yleefox from putting red Loktite on his grip screws. Red on the bushings is good or just go with blue. I like blue cause it can be removed and do use it under scope mounts. I use red when I know that I will never need to remove it. A dab of super glue also w...

Re: 1911 grip screws

Stop right there, do not grab the Loktite just yet; Are we talking grip panel screws ? Are we talking grip screw bushings ? Loktite on the grip screw bushings that screw into the frame would be fine. I would not use Loktite to secure the grip panel screws. You may need heat to remove them and in the...

Hardball; Steve Reiter is triple distinguished. The only one that I personally know and talk to quite frequently. For his age he is still one heck of a bullseye shooter. I know this cause I shoot next to him often. The only one that I know better than Steve is John Zurek, but he is my age :) Good lu...

I do not expect prices to be what they were for any components. It will be about Christmas time before it is all back to what it was before chicken little fell out of the sky like it did four years ago. I have two years supply, but am still looking for deals just in case there is no return to normal...

Looking in my notes dating back to 1995. Mind you, I shoot a Ruger Super Redhawk with a 7.5" barrel. These are full power loads so approach with caution. My hunting load was using Hornady 300gr HP/XTP over 17.7gr Accurate #9 with a heavy crimp. Load and crimp in the bottom cannalure. My plinking loa...

He shoots a 1911 with a Marvel upper.

I believe this is the only .22 that I have ever seen him shoot since we have shot together for about 3 years or so now.

I have the same barrel except the 6.5" Would have to say that it closes in my M41 about 30% harder than the original barrel. No problems so far. My thought is the better it clamps the better it is. I use the heal of my palm to close it by pressing my hands together, the left hand holds the pistol an...

Bullseye; I won the leg match with a 264-4x Not enough shooters to get a hard leg. Since I am not eligible for points the 6 pts went to the next shooter down the ranks. I am hoping the Desert mid winter this coming February will have enough shooters. This last Desert I won it but only got 6 pts. If ...

Yah, am all tuned up for the .22 match but my big gun scores have suffered for a while now. Been stuck in expert class for 2 years because of my .45 scores. I have really picked up on the .22 after installing the Clark barrel(I guess you CAN buy points). Sold my Rock River .45 and sent the Springfie...
