Bullseye, speaking of grips...I'm left handed and really like the feel of the vq volthane grip. Unfortunately they don't come left handed for the MK111. Have you or anyone else shot them on a MK111 left handed? How did it feel? Do you have any suggestions for the MK111 that is comparable and is for ...

Bullseye, I put one of these titanium disconnectors in my MK111 and periodically it would not release the sear. I put the original back in and it worked fine. I have no idea why this happened. On a different subject, is there a way to keep the ball in the saftey during reinstall? It's kicking my rea...

VQ Acurizer installation
I installed the VQ accurizer kit and everything worked well for a handful of rounds. Actually the tightest grouping I've ever had. Then the trigger quit working! No sweat I said. The bolt came back fine , so I went home to fix it. But....the mainspring will not open. Instead of beating it with the h...

Thanks alot Bullseye, that's exactly what I thought. As a matter of fact I have seen some slivers of lead. I had planned on getting a 22 cleaning kit, this just enforces it. I field strip and clean the Ruger after every session but maybe not enough. As far as the trigger replacement is concerned, yo...

I think it's with the rod. The one I'm using is for my wife's 38 special. I tried the one for my 1911 which has a slightly smaller diameter and it didn't fit either. The only reason I brought it up was that I didn't have this before. It was tight but still went down the bore. On a different subject,...

Mk111 Cleaning
Hi everyone, I'm brand new to target shooting and this forum, which has been very useful to my learning about my pistols. Anyway, I've had the same problem with FTF and FTE's with my Ruger but through the process of elimination I've found that almost all of CCI and Winney wildcats go through it fine...
