If you have further Ruger adjusting needs, Springfields Roddy Toyota is nearby. He does triggers on the original Ruger parts that are better than Volq. I am not sure about the 2245, but a MkII trigger turns out great. I almost like to shoot my tuned MkII more than the Hammerli 208s.

I am glad I bought those cases of Aguila SV and Eley when I did. I have quite a bit of older Remington and Peters SV. It doesn't lead at all.

22/45 pin upgrade

Mr bullseye
please explain to me more about this pin upgrade for the 22/45 MkII
http://www.guntalk-online.com/images/2007_2245m3_2.JPG

I just picked up a bull barrel 22/45 MkII for the fun of it at $250. It is like new.

Also will the MkII 22/45 and MkII regular uppers and lowers interchange?

I use the 1" regular Ultradot or the 4 dot 1" even on 45 auto target gun. I want the sight line as low as possible to the bore line. I prefer the lighter weight and less top heavy distribution. I don't think the 30mm "window" is that much bigger for the added bulk. I also believe the small window re...

Best there is as far as I'm concerned. Good service from Larry, if you ever need it. If you shoot targets, you don't need gimmicks, just use the Ultradot. On a 22 target the 1" model is all you need.

Ruger accuracy is not in question here. 25yds, PMC Scoremaster ammo, arm rested. Trigger control and sight alignment count.

Keep grouping on your blank target back. Leave the first one in place and paste the next ones right on top. At the end see your overall group.
Keep your eye on the sight.

If I recall the set screws are under the sight leaf. Carefully remove the elevation screw holding the leaf down during. Let the leaf up and carefully note the small springs underneath for position. Don't lose them. It's not that hard to do. I had to file on the sight dovetail to get it started for a...

What Mr Bullseye says is right on. But keep the trigger moving. Don't mentally fall to steps at a time with initial pressure, then more pressure. Don't get hung up on time. The whole pull is continuous once started. Some Masters and High masters I have seen "pump the trigger" as they set up. If pump...

I believe the "Zins" grip is primarily for the standard type grips on 1911 guns and regular Ruger, High Standard. I even am trying it with my M9. If you make your hand like a sock puppet and twist the backstrap into the deepest crease, you will find the grip.

With a dot sight try looking at a point on the scope itself as an experiment. Tear a tiny piece of masking tape and place on the rear edge of the scope. Then look hard at that as you see the sight picture periferally in the scope. I get a real good sense of the gun and trigger doing this. And the sh...

You should be able to locate the target and approach it by muscle memory in a large way. I would get on the sight sooner and keep it aligned and stable in the hand. Then finish your sight picture and start the trigger. Keep the trigger moving.

I worked hard on becoming Distinguished from 2000 to 2004. I used a 1963 made Gold Cup for two legs and then a pro built HB 45 for two more. I concentrated on iron sight firing, even in 2700s I often used my iron sight High standard, K38, and hardball gun. Years ago I shot a 38 Colt OMM and a HS Tro...

I just started shooting bullseye, its my first competetive shooting although I've been shooting pistols all my life. What a great time it is- there are shooters of all ages and experience, and my league uses a handicap system so everybody has the same incentive to shoot well. Also a young new guy h...
