Not complaining for I did not have to get out on it. Though I know how to drive on this stuff. The biggest thing around here is that 98% do not know how to drive on this stuff. Snow is easy to drive on. Ice is all together different. It's all the others out there you have to be aware of. Soon as I s...

Freezing fog is bad. It collects on anything and builds up. Depending upon the road temp you end up with Black Ice...... NOT GOOD.

Talking to my brother who lives on the south side of Dallas, Grand Prairie, said they got hit with some freezing rain. Had over 1/4" of ice on the cars. I'm stuck in east Texas at my dad's place. They missed it this go around.

Forecasters missed the snow fall, only about 1/2" this morning. By mid afternoon the temp was up in the 50's so all the ice is melted and gone. Now there forecasting another arctic front for tomorrow morning with a chance of snow Friday..... :? I talked to my dad and they got 5" of snow. He's about ...

We made it to 36ºF yesterday and most of the ice melted. Now they are forecasting 2-4" snow in my area this morning. So far all we have gotten is rain with the temp at freezing 32ºF. Roads are at least drivable now. Weather forecaster around here do not have a very good record at forecasting snow. T...

Nikon EEL scopes have the most followed with Leopold. Or you could use a dot sight which is unlimited. Ultradot makes one that has a small moa that reasonable. I have a cheap Simmons on one of my rifles for several years now and it's been pretty good. The eye relief is not what you need though. Any ...

Thunder Sleet

Well mother nature decided to show who's running the show. Saturday we had a high of near 60°. The arctic front started pushing through early evening. Yesterday we had 1.5" of rain slowly converted to sleet once the temp dropped below 30°. We we 30° by 10pm last night waking up to low 20°s. Followed...

You might try just locking the bolt as far as it will go back and let it sit for 3-5 days and see if it takes a set that will weaken the RS. If properly design this will do nothing but in Mags it helps those on some 1911's. The suppressor will definitely lower the pressure. I may have the old RS out...

If you have been shooting the Rem GoldenTurds you need to use a wire brush on a drill and attack the chamber. GB are bad at leading, and can leave a ring right where the chamber and rifling starts. I do not buy/shoot Rem 22 ammo for this reason. Once the gun gets broken in it will handle the lighter...

Mine still requires a blow to take it apart. I only detail clean every 2000+ rounds so it does not happen very often. And since 22 ammo is scarce I have not been shooting it as often as I did.

Something about taking a hammer to to a gun to disassemble it makes some cringe. :D

My MKIII when I first got it was very hard to assemble. I had to put the muzzle down on the floor and push with all my weight (holding the receiver) to get it to go on all the way on. It has since loosened up some but it still needs a firm surface to make it go on all the way. I had problem with the...

With the factory trigger you can add (if missing)/adj the pre trigger. Normally the set screw is there but backed off. The bad is that you must remove the trigger to adj. And you will have to grind off the nub to seat the magazine. With your VQ trigger, find someone with a welder and have it welded ...

I'm like you, I did not see any thing that hit or vapor trail of the projectile leaving.

Would make a 3 Stooges skit.

I did a check on my stock last week. I'm down to ~11k with only 4 550 value packs. Most of my stock is the AutoMatch, which is more accurate than the VP. Still have not seen any on the shelf for years. My LGS seams to have the ammo I use for hunting. But this last a very long time for I only shoot i...
