Ammo shortage

I have never been so happy to be a bullet caster and reloader.

I feel for those who are just getting into our sport and cannot find anything but A: nothing or B: Over priced ammo.

Sorry to hear about that Blue! Seems like when things go bad, they bring a bunch of friends along too. Here's hoping you get through this with a full recovery, or as much as is humanly possible to hope for. For something to do, run your mind through a few 2700 matches from arrival at several ranges,...

bgreenbe3,
Having to be the arresting officer in those type of revolving door criminal types would drive me nuts. I don't know how Peace Officers can keep a level head and calm demeaner with this type of frustration, I know I couldn't.

Stay safe out there!

It was funny to see all the chicken littles running around. I guess growing up on a farm, where the power went off with regularity, gave me a mindset of being ready since childhood. When you only go a larger town every other month or so and the power might go out a half dozen times (or not) in that ...

Yes, there will be a buildup at some point. I shoot a wide variety of different 22 ammo, which possibly aggravates the buildup. I had an epiphany last year regarding this (see link). Since reading a story in Precision Shooting a few decades back about ELY not cleaning their bores, I decided I would ...

I have to guess as I don't have my log book at work. But, I would say at least 6 points less for slow fire and 8-12 points less for timed & rapids.

Haka,
I'm using RE15 behind the Hornady 75gr Amax for 600.
Short line is AA2200 behind 69gr Sierra's.

Any shot out of the x isn't the gun or ammo's fault.

My bride and I walked in, showed ID and voted. Every booth was full so the guy at the registration table said I could wait or just do it on a counter that was handy. Very efficient. We've known how we'd vote for 6 months so it sure didn't take long, 10 min tops from pulling into the lot until I pull...

Comfort in carrying is definitely a factor, but I wouldn't place it in my top three. Definitely top 5 tho. I can't come up with a higher valued priority off the top of my head, so it would be either 4 or 5. If it's too bulky/heavy to carry, you don't carry. That's just human nature, so the size/weig...

Not to hijack the thread, but a couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to try 6 of the GSG 1911/22 magazines in my Marvel conversion. I have two Ace mags that have served me very well and have been 100% reliable, but I was thinking of picking up a spare just in case. I had the chance to run 6 of ...

A tip for you: get basic glasses cheap @ zennioptical or 39dollarglasses, spend a bit more $ on prescription safety glasses for shooting +1 on zenni optical. I've gotten my last two sets of shooting glasses there. I always get my daily wear glasses from my optician. Mainly because I've been trading...

I've owned or own The DPMS and Bushmaster in the DCM configuration and a Rock River in an M4 config. The DCM's were unbelivable shooters (under 1/2" @ 100 yds) and 100% reliable as long as I watched the OAL when loading. The RR, I've only owned for 1 1/2 years and haven't gotten around to shooting i...
