LCR 22 is my carry gun of choice and I practice, practice and practice some more. I can say that most of the time, I can put all 8 rounds in a 6"circle at 21' in 2 seconds. Of course that's a standing target....not a human being. What happens in a SD situation is yet to be seen, but if I can't do it...

Been tinkering with this rifle and thought I'd update. I removed the Weaver Scout scope to put that one on my Benjamin Sheridan pumper. I ordered a Bushnell 3-9X40 with 6" eye relief for the Handi, hoping the 6: eye relief would put it just forward of the hammer spur. It didn't work out that way, bu...

What stops me from running a BGC on some random guy and claiming that I sold all my arms to that guy? The core concept doesn't work without registration of every weapon - write your Congressthings and instruct them to vocally oppose this garbage. The reason that I would favor having the NICS availa...

Jack Here in our Oregon, there has been an 800 number where an individual can do a background. No paper required, just report numbers. At the dealers, it is real slick by computer nowadays. I was in and out at Gun Pro and SM real quick recently. Jack Greetings, Jack. Where have you been? I was not ...

If you have a CCL (CHL here), you shouldn't have to have any more background checks. That card should be proof of your background.

The guy that did both of my replacement LCRs is a pawnshop/gun dealer, only charges $25. Fair enough, considering the responsibility he's taking on. None of the strictly LGS here will do a transfer, for whatever reason. Exactly why I believe the NICS shold be available to all. I recently took in a ...

My rant: "Universal" background checks......

.....are a fantasy. No one currently knows who owns guns or what kinds. Without that information there can be no "universal" background checks. To get that information would mean registration and a database of ALL guns in America, including those in the hands of the unlawful. Impossible! I believe t...

I'm betting it is. They seem to have made a number of improvements in the newer, compared to the earlier offerings.

Wish I had some .22's to spare. None to be had here. I can make the .357's....at least until the primers run out.

Good luck with that new one.

I have sometimes wished Ruger had both 357 and 22 SP-101s in snub nose, and I had bought them instead of LCRs. Maybe they'll still work out okay, I like them when they're good. Yeh. The SP101 .22 is too long in the tooth for me, too. I suppose a good saw could fix that.....but then the problem with...

Yes! You can!

I finally got the gas checks this morning and promptly went to work. I tried rounding the base of the bullet and it worked, but not very well. Too easy to go too far. Next I tried beveling the base of the bullet. Again, it worked with similar results as rounding. Then I cut the base down parallel to...

I have the Lee .358 sizing die and will crimp them on. Not sure just how, yet. Still no GC's today. Seems the USPS can find a useable address. Maybe they were addressed wrong or the label got damaged in transit. At any rate, they are stuck in Portland, OR. I contacted the seller to ask for a new shi...

That seems to be the general consensus. I'm looking for something in the 1900 FPS velocity from the H&R Handi. I can achieve this with the XTP's and FTX's with 20 gr. 4227 by seating the bullet ~.20". It would be nice to be able to do that with the Lee Tumble lube design. My Hornady gas checks haven...
