I didn't see anything

I didn't see anything in the orginal story that indicated the monkey would be armed. It said, two-way radio, camera, and kevlar vest, but no mention, that I could see, about a weapon of any kind. Frankly, if the monkey could be of appropriate value in resolving an issue, without the loss of human li...

Thanks BandOM, I too stick with the 7 - 8 rounders. I guess I'll get a couple of Wilson's mags.

Replacement magazines 1911

I'm in the market for a few new replacement mags for my Gov. Model 1911 and I was wondering which mags to buy. I've found pretty decent prices on Springfields mags, and of course the premium mags from Wilson, etc., are pricy but you would expect great quality there. So, any suggestions from the fine...

Gee, and I thought I was the only one

I really enjoyed reading the above post and some of them had me laughing. The funny part was how many of those same courses of action I've tried over the years. I finally came up with two that work well for me. When I buy a new gun or I'm discussing the purchase of one and she questions me about it,...

Options

If you use blue loctite, you can easily remove the screws later or what I have used in the past is a dab of clear nail polish. I install the screw and then place just a little on the screw head and adjacent metal surface.

Take care

Dillon

As far as I'm concerned, Dillon's customer service is excellent. I'll share my, rather embarrassing, story with you. I reload in an area that is also my workshop. It's a small area and one day I was had been busy reloading when, my wife asked me to repair something for her. I stopped what I was doin...

I suggest

Georgezilla, I would suggest that you check out this website: http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/Lobby/1221/new_reld.htm I think it gives a good overview of just what you're asking. The dollar amounts are outdated, so disregard the numbers, but I think you will find the rest of the information qui...

My .02

Sorry guys, but I couldn't help myself, I had to join in on this particular subject. First, I have to comment on bearandoldman's sentiments concerning those YSRETJA folks. Of course, you see the same kind in any sport or other worthwhile endeavor, even some not so worthwhile endeavors. And like bear...

One ounce

One ounce of water weighs approximately one ounce. A gallon of pure water weighs approximately 8.33 lbs. Of course, then you need to know what the container holding the water weighs.

Hope this helps

Sorta scary

It doesn't generally take long to tell the experienced shooters from the new and maybe I'll toss in, the careless shooters. I try to be aware of those who fit the second/third catagories, as they are typically the scary ones. The range I ususally frequent has paid RSOs and they are very attentive, e...

I would look on Ebay and see if I have any luck. Might try the classifieds on the Savage Forum website too.

Ahhhh....a satisfying day at the range.

Generally, when I go to the range, I pretty much keep to myself. It's not that I'm anti-social, its just that I tend to mind my own business. If spoken to, I will certainly respond, but I just seldom start a conversation. And most people seem to avoid starting conversations with me. The wife says it...
