MKIII Gun rest for Tripod
While I was at my dad's place last week I decided to make a gunrest for my MKIII to fit my tripod. Since my dad has a pretty good wood shot I took advantage of it. I used only scrap wood to make the rest. All of the wood he has is from wood cut and processed from his property. Mainly cedar and oak, ...

Bullseye, I have heard of that but have never tried it. When I was at my Dads last week, I tried the calls. Soon as I did the distress call, the local hawks (that were nesting about 100 yrds from me) would do a fly bye. So I think I was close enough on the call to attrack squirrels.. I did this 2 da...

Squirrel Calls
Has anyone used any of these calls. I'm disabled and no longer can stalk the squirrels, so I use a chair blind setup watching a large Hickory tree that they swarm. These are the 2 callers that I was able to find. Knight & Hale 4 in 1 Squirrel Call and Primos 5 in 1 Squirrel Buster There is a slight ...

Airsoft Broke
I went to use my airsoft again and it will not fire. It appears that the knocker is not in position to hit the valve.
Out warranty, and they want too much for service. It's cheaper buying a new one then I can compare and find the problem with the old one.

I learned to shoot on a 20 ga single shot stevens with a full choke. This taught be to be a better shot than most, not having the spread. I have a Citori that I use all the time, had for close to 30 yrs now. I shoot very good with it. But if I pick up a Rem 1100 I will cinsistantly shoot 2 ft under ...

Right on... The light weights (20ga) are nice if you have to carry them all day. But the auto loaders that I have shot, have very little recoil. So it's a trade off, weight vs recoil. But I will stick with my 20ga O/U. For me it's a noise thing. The 12ga hurt my ears without protection and 20ga do n...

A pointed set screw will work but there is a catch. With pointed one you can not make minor adjustments. They have a tendency to walk back to the original hole. The blue loctite will hold very well if the mating surfaces are clean of oil. And you can get it apart if needed. My require a tap with a p...

Bullseye, Thanks for the very informative articles and explanation. Several years ago I started shooting combat guns (my wife wanted me to get CCL) which are mostly your center hold. After shooting most all my life with tangent hold. Now with my aging eyes, I can no longer see the gun sights without...

Those are the jerks that get reported to the owner or range officer. That a huge liability for the owner. All of the out door ranges I have been ever at, during a cease fire you are not allowed back to the bench till the all clear is given. I only have a indoor range close to me that takes care of t...

MKIII Bandolier Holster Finished
I have finish my holster/bandolier for my Scoped MKIII. It is setup to be carried 3 different ways, std belt, tatical and bandolier. I find that I like the bandolier style better over the others due to the weight of the Scoped SS MKIII 6 7/8". I played with several positions and find I like it in th...

The green gas is just propane with the silicone oil all ready in the mix. I have it and it's not any better than the propane. The propane kit consist of an adapter for the lantern cylinders and Silicone oil. You add 1 drop of oil every 5 recharges. I think you will be fine in the summer time heat. W...
