From my Blankenship files to add to the "natural" of sight alignment... "...Perfect sight alignment is necessary to get good scores, and having a natural alignment of the arm, hand and gun to the eye will keep the sights perfectly aligned." Then, move your feet to orient the aligned sights on the ai...

There are various small adjustment ranges in head chest shoulder grip cant etc to align the sights on the seeing line. So forget the target until you can see the sights on your seeing line. Then going to the target is just a matter of foot movement. Your foot position can change a bit during a match...

My 41 was supposed to have been gunsmithed at Ft Benning. That is only the word I have. The trigger is indeed one of the best ever. But I remain skeptical about it as the mag disconnect was defeated, and the barrel (1977ish 5.5") was a keyholer. Also the cocking indicator piece was removed. I got it...

I got a set of Hortons for a 106 HS. Beautiful like the 41 set above, but the fit of a Fung revolver grip I have is is much better. I have purchased and used several grips on target 22s, and CF revolvers. Best fit = Fung on K38 and N45 second best = Rink of 208s third = Nil 4th = Horton 5th = Morini...

Jack I have seen the splatter in the dust too. Notice that the plate/dingers usually are suspended from a hook affair on the backside to let the plate give a little on the impact. Some of the target plate makers have really scienced it out to determine best alloy and even the angle of departure for ...

The recommended body-to-target positioning is feet angled 45° relative to the target but that is just a recommendation. Everyone has slightly different body features and your natural positioning is one where you can close your eyes, relax your trunk muscles, and open them again and see your pistol ...
