Yeah, but only in practice....I can't yet duplicate it in a match.... "anticipate" the recoil and throw the shot out......

My 22/45 prefers Federal Value Pack.....

I'm relatively new to Bullseye pistol, cracking away with a 22/45 MKIII and Millet Red Dot with Volquartzen accuracy package. I thought I had settled on Wolf Target and/or CCI standard velocity ammo for competition, but here's a practice RF target I shot today with my cheapo Federal Value Pack.........

Well, we had a successful junior program for a decade plus, but they've all moved off to work and get married and have babies and all that....and not even those who remained local carried on the sport.... We also make our range available to the local 4-H program, which has an excellent marksmanship ...

Say what you will about Rugers......

But has anything done more to bring people into hand gunning than the Rugers MK I, II, and IIIs? I shoot in a venerable old indoor range, built in 1946 by soldiers, marines, and sailors recently home from WWII. The place was well-built, with huge, thick down-sloping steel plates and turning target c...

Back eons ago when my off-hand shooting was abysmal, I took up smallbore rifle and that really picked up my scores. Since air rifle is basically the same thing I suspect if you put enough time in you can do the same for yours. Off-hand and the long line are where the matches are won and lost. R, Bu...

Yup, air rifle and air pistol shooter here.... both guns purchased in 1984, RWS Model 75 Recoilless air rifle, and RWS Model 6G Recoilless pistol (may have been 1986 for this pistol, memory grows dim)...... I have thousands of rounds through the rifle, and hundreds upon hundreds of rounds through th...

If you allow me my take on it? Who cares what he really intended...I was taught you don't shoot in the vicinity of anything you don't want to destroy. Also: (1.) Never be unarmed, anywhere......; and (2.) If you do find yourself unarmed and in the company of someone even threatening to do you harm -...

Yup, that's it....... got it at Pryamid. Quite a few people on another forum, Target Talk, recommended training for bullseye with this pistol; claimed it was one of the best bangs for the buck one could obtain. Claimed it was 95% of the high priced, Olympic guns. Have you ever had to change the seal...

Well, I found a Baikal match air pistol on sale (quite a bit cheaper than the P-1). It's got good reviews, and I ordered a red dot mount for it...... Hopefully, it will bring up my slow fire scores, which are my Achilles heel right now! Thanks everyone, for your help....... (I may also order one of ...

Well, I want that P-1, but, I'm a retired educator and that 400 plus gives me a bit of a pause... fixed income, you know. Midway now has a Gamo Compact match air pistol on clearance for about $150.... read some good reviews on it, but it doesn't look like it can be scoped. Has anyone here had experi...

Another option is these training laser by LaserLyte. They use an inertia switch to blink the laser on your target giving you feedback. The Target is new so I have not checked it out yet. This way your using the exact same gun your using in competition. http://laserlyte.com/Laser_Training_System/Lan...

Air pistol for bullseye practice...

I'm a (cough) older shooter, and was primarily a rifle shooter at that... But our local rimfire range has lost its rifle league team because of the lack of participants, I think because competitive rifle has become so expensive. Our pistol league, however, is going strong. I'm currently shooting a R...
