I use clay pigeons for targets a lot. I usually prop them up against the bank which is okay, but not nearly as convenient as the system you show.

I surfed a bit without luck: Any details on the "hangers" used to suspend the birds?

That's how I see it.

Just to prove I'm not a complete troglodyte, I have a couple of SIG's that are SA/DA with decockers.

But they're steel... :D

Polymer frames and DAO triggers, however, have no place on MY 1911s, because I'm irrational about it and don't need other reasons. Perzackly. And for me, that approach applies to ALL my guns. I have exactly one long gun that has a composite stock. Everything else, with the exception of grips, is st...

Why do I get the feeling that a massive dose of tranquilizers, delivered via air gun, figure into the cuddly factor? :P

I do not expect to ever have to use my weapon against another human being. I fervently hope than I never have to, and I take as many precautions as I can to avoid situations where it's even remotely possible. I don't go into bad neighborhoods, I don't hang with bad people, I don't have habits that a...

The 60 is a J-frame, .38spl only. Surfing various gun sites, I find that opinions on the benefits of +P and their suitability for J frame guns are all over the map. I think I'll buy one box of the self-defense +P ammo for short barrels for carry; both for the possibility of improved performance and ...

+P in short barrels

After several months, my local Mom & Pop gunshop finally found me an S&W Model 60 snubbie. On those occasions when I happen to choose it as my carry piece, I intended to stoke it with +P JHP's. Then I got to thinking...(ouch...) with only an inch and a half of barrel to work with, will +P even affec...

I was talking with a fellow gun owner yesterday about this topic, and wonder what the present admin will try to do with assault weapons. Would you be willing to give up 20 and 30 round magazines? What 20 and 30 round magazines? I don't have any of those. Why would anybody need those? /sarcasm (just...

Don't remember who said this (Clint Smith maybe?) but it goes something like:

"Don't carry a handgun because you expect trouble. If you EXPECT trouble, bring a rifle, and friends with rifles."

I think there will be a full court press to subvert the 2nd Amendment. Nothing as obvious as an attempt at repeal, more likely via the regulation/restriction of ammo and reloading supplies. I fear for this country if he's reelected. I'll probably survive long enough to pass from "natural causes", bu...

Nope, but looking forward to a range report.

I will note that my Grandson's GSG works MUCH more reliably with CCI Minimags than regular Long Rifle from the usual suspects. That may change as it wears in, but intially it had a lot of jams and FTF's with bulk .22, zero problems with the CCI.

Given the sorry field of opponents, the staggering percentage of people that will vote for their own self-interest and wallets, and the general level of political stupidity and skullduggery in this country, I have to place the odds of The One being re-elected at 50-50. And friends, that scares the b...

Thanks for that report. I had an idea bubbling in the back of my head that I sorta wanted one.

Guess I'll pass and save the money for that J frame Smith I'm keeping an eye out for.
