I worked one Christmas rush season with UPS and that was all my nerves could handle. You would open the door to the trailer and start backing it into the dock and them dummy college kids would jump from the dock to the trailer before you could dock it. I could just see one falling between the dock a...

Man it sure feels good when things come together. I'd say that's some fine shooting there. I got a feeling there's going to be deer at your table this winter. :)

That's my limit, the .44 Mag. If I need more than that I'll use a rifle. :)

Medicine Hat wrote:Baldy, thanks for the link to the levergun site. That is a pretty good and concise history of Marlin. A good read.

Great Score! I'll bet that the 30=30 still holds the record for the most game harvested. Regards Some say it's only 2nd to the Winchester lever action but 1st in side ejection. One thing for sure they both fed the American families as they went West. For mid-size game the .30-30 is #1 cartridge jus...

The indoor range here is $200 for the year and no time limits. The out door range is $150 first year and $100 every year after that. :)

Well you talking about lucky. I found another Marlin .30-30 a 2003 model for $225. It's missing the front site hood and the rear sight. For that price I didn't ask why. Now I got one for me and one for my daughter who likes to hunt. Got a scope on the way for it :D Here's a picture of them both.. ht...

Volquartsen is a First Class Outfit.

I put one of their comps on my MK-III and the sight would not hold. When they called me I said I wished I had got the one without the sight. The gentleman I was talking to said my comp would be in the mail. So a couple days later the comp arrives and when I open it up, it is a brand new one without ...

Thank You Gents. It has the Marlin stamp on the barrel and the action feels like it's a new one. It's firm but smooth is all I can say. It came with a Army can full of ammo all in factory boxes. (about 180 rds.) That scope also came with it. All I need now is a sling for it and I am all set. It had ...

Finally a Marlin....

I finally landed a Marlin 336 .30-30 last Saturday. I been wanting one ever since we moved to Florida to hunt some pigs with. I traded a RIA 1911 .45 for it. It's a 1973 model so it's the real thing. So a good friend said. I guess he was talking about Remington buying out Marlin. Anybody know when t...

That's a good little revolver you have there and if it were mine I would shoot it and enjoy it. Let the kids worry about refinishing it.
