I had seen the proposal and couldn't think of a more worthy person/gun to honor. Of course if they wanted to make a "statement" they could have made it the M2

I liked the M 60 but loved the M2, except when it had to be moved. Unless they've got a lot better steel though they're going to need somebody right there with a lot of spare barrels

Apparently he had stepped inside to buy something. We don't even need to mention sheriff "dipstick" . Barney Fife strikes me as being more competent

Depending on whether you "need" to trade or not you also have to consider holsters and such. I've got a 36 that I've carried occasionally wearing running style shorts and a t-shirt. For my XDSC and anything comparable you have to have a belt to hold it up or a shoulder rig. Personally it's a trade o...

Went to the LGS with my BIL to get his Christmas present (45 ammo) while we were looking around we heard a salesman tell a guy the "system" was down so they couldn't complete any sales at that time. Frequent outages would be one way to deter gun buyers

Welcome! I got mine about a year ago and also found re-assembly a challenge. One thing I did was the magazine disconnector mod (found here) that took some extra steps out of it. Others were I didn't strip it every time I shot (tough for retired military guy), the other was looking at where it was ma...

Reminds me of the SAFAD (Small Arms For Air Defense) range. A lot harder on the drone with M16's on full auto though

A lot of people swear the Ruger 10 round rotary mag is the most reliable available. If it's $50 with the three mags I don't think you can go wrong as the cheapest I've ever found the mag was $15 each. If their holder doesn't work you're out $5. (There are some really neat extended mag releases that ...

There I was @ the LGS with my brother watching him fill out the purchase forms when I see a forlorn 10/22 in the cart they keep their trades in. Rifling looked okay & the crown was intact and other than some black spray paint it seemed pretty solid. $150 later it left with me as a project gun for my...
