Smith and Wesson revolvers

I was out to the range and this elderly gentleman, who was a gun shop/gun smith for some 40 years before retiring, claimed that S&W revolvers loosen up and become sloppy after about 1500 rounds have passed through them. Sorry, but I had a hard time swallowing that statement, nevertheless, I thought ...

Packing and moving was a pain. First time in 30 years I've done it. Hard to believe how much stuff you've acquired until you start boxing it. Then to make it even more difficult, we bought our kid's house, but they are still living there until their new home is finished (about another month or so). ...

As a matter of fact Bullseye, the range here is just five miles away, instead of the thirty miles I used to have to drive. In addition, there is seldom anyone else there shooting, when I am. Plus, I live outside the city now, and I have enough land that, if I choose, I can shoot right outside my doo...

Hello all you boys and girls

Been a while since I last tossed in my .02 cents and just thought I would drop in and say hey. Between moving to another state, honey-do's, and working around the new place (new to us), and just plain discouragement at the current state of affairs as they relate to firearms, ammunition, and politics...

Personally, I despise the news media. During my working career, I had numerous contact with them and my experience is that they seldom, if ever, get the story right. They are quick to exploit whatever they can, if it will make for a more dramatic story. In fact, it was so bad that the government age...

This is the kind of thinking you get from the average politician these days. They typically do not have a clue as to what they are talking about, but they are more than willing to do whatever they think will get them re-elected. I still say we should force Congress to institute term limits on themse...

I know this thread is fairly old, but I couldn't help but put my .02 in here. Just bought one of these tiny guns and I have been pleasantly surprised. 100 rds so far and absolutely no malfunctions. On top of that, the accuracy is pretty amazing for a mouse gun. In fact, the last time I owned a .380 ...

I'm with the reliability group number #1 and second on my list is being able to hit what I'm aiming at on a regular basis.

I have Firesight sights on the front of two of my Ruger Mk II-IIIs and love them. So easy to pick up.

Blue,

Thanks for the tips. I've taken apart plenty of rifles and semi-auto pistols, but I do not believe I've ever disassembled a revolver. I believe parts are just about non-existent for this gun, so I'm hoping its something simple.

Interarms Virginia Dragoon

My son just acquired an Interarms Virginia Dragoon in 44 magnum and as it turns out the cylinder doesn't. Well, that it, it doesn't usually turn when the hammer is cocked. I suspect it's going to turn out to be a spring issue, because on occasion it will turn when cocked. I'm planning on taking it a...

I'm a lucky man

I'm a lucky man. It been a long time since I have felt this settled. My second oldest son is home, in the USA, after serving four times in Iraq, my youngest son who is a cop got to spend Christmas at home with us for a change. My daughter in law who is a RN was there too. My mother who will be 88 in...

Glad u got the gun fixed. If you have a camera, a couple of photos of the correct placement of the part might be of help to others.
