Maybe some choice places downtown? Just put a camera case over your shoulder for bait like in Death Wish.

Or look like a teen age kid waiting for a school bus. Trying to get Hakamans attention, that is in his neck of the woods or hoods?

I think you are vastly overstating D-Riot City and its dangers. I have never been there and carried a fire arm. I made several trips to Bourke Street just off Livernois before dawn, parked on the street and stood by my car, unarmed. (If you don't know what that looks like, watch the Detroit chase scene in Beverly Hills Cops). I spent two weeks in the Ronald McDonald House at Michigan Children's Hospital unarmed. I did, however, call hospital security for an escort to make the 100' after dark. I've been a number of other times, unarmed and unharmed. I think I should have been buying lottery tickets those days.

greener, perhaps you should consider doing one of those fluff pieces for the Chamber of Commerce and share your positive experience. Sounds like the good city is the victim of bad press 8)

I like the DSC, it's north of detroit in a safer area.
They have pistol shooting fri/sat/sun,and mon evenings. You could even take Henry to the pistol range. It's outside during the summer, $20 for as long as you want (10am-4pm). Come with a member, it's $14.

Actually was thinking more like a bus stop in Warren and that is not too far south of you. Just yankng on your leg Hak, you haven't been on the forum much lately. I will stick with my local range 12 minutes away for 60 bucks a year and shoot as a=often s you want.
Is ther really a nicer area anywher, prettty peaceful area around me but earlier this week about 5 blocks away 4 people with minor injuries near a bar. No wonder I alwys carry at least one gun.

sounds like a nice club. I was up in the thumb visiting friends, there is so much less stress up there, and it is relaxing.
