NRA local meeting.

Post by Curmudgeon » Sun Apr 25, 2010 2:49 am

I went to my first local NRA meeting tonight with the Banquet/fund raiser and all. It was very interesting although quite expensive for my lot in life. I was taken back at the lack of Police Officers, where were the dozens of Officers I know?

Are Cops on the other side of the armed society, foe of the second amendment, willing to vote with Obama and Clinton in thinking the criminals will turn in their guns too if asked, or unable/unwilling to take a public stance?

Certainly the Cops can't think my target pistol is being used to break the law in any way, or stolen, would be carried by a punk ass dope dealer looking for a long barreled .22 caliber concealed weapon.

Generally, it's the command officers and politicians who prefer the dis-armed populace.

Many rank-and-file officers support the NRA but it is not always politically correct to do so publicly.
