Not only do you have GPS, you have BPS (Bear Positioning System). If all else fails you can let him out and follow him home. Of course, you'd have to stop every now and then for a roll in the grass.

Looks like every one had a good time, that all that counts.

I was at a boat ramp many years a go and a old man in john boat was at the ramp. We asked him how he was doing, his reply was "Great, I'm here whether I catch fish or not, I'm going to have a good time.".

We also had a good time. I caught one of the biggest strings of large mouth bass, 10 fish 35 lbs. We decide to go back the next day, I had 8 fish weighting in at 35 lbs. And these all happened in about 30 min period when they stated feeding. We caught about 2-3x that many, throwing the 1.5# back to grow up.

We had a cold front move through here yesterday. It dropped or highs down to 82F, with the low this morning 65F :D Very pleasant weather.

The Walmart in Haslett/E.Lansing had a fair supply of fed value pack. I guess it isn't hoarding when you rotate your stock.

Congrats on the 2K!! We were camping over the weekend up near Port Austin, wet and chilly was the way it was. Glad we had heat in the ole pop-up, we expected some 30s but don't think it got down quite that low. It's great you guys were able to get together for some good times!!

Been a long time since I was up there in the tip of the thumb, a lot has changed since I was there maybe 15 years ago. When I was a young fellow, WWII years my dads folks had a summer house up there on Adams street on the west side just North of Grindstone Rd The old reef light is still there but in my days it was an operating beacon, the old bank in town although it is not a bank anymore, the Garfield Inn, but it had another name then. Yes, I have seen Turnip Rock and I have stood on the point of the thumb nail and played golf at the course at the Point, but that was around 60 years ago.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

Working for the local utility company, I get up in the thumb every once in a while. I have been to most of the towns up and around the thumb. We have a power house in Port Austin. I would like to live up that way, away from the lights and the "hustle bustle" so I could enjoy peace and quiet and astronomy without all the light polution.
