This sure doesn't seem like fair coverage of the news, and let the reader make up their own mind/s. Some of these stories got local play as evidenced by the links, but they were not mentioned in my area.

It seems to me that the news media has put us sportsmen/shooters on the wrong end on the issue almost every time they get the opportunity to 'direct' the news. If that person was allowed to kill the entire congregation, the local news would have had a ball telling us about all the weapons and ammo he possessed, and how he was suspected of being of an unsound mind. (Like the kid in VA)

I guess if the news doesn't say what you want it to say, and you can't spin it, don't tell the story at all is the motto of some areas.

Anyone else feel like the media has an agenda and prove they are right by filtering one side? One guy told me that the Hells Angels get better press because they collect toys for the kids once a year.

Some news media outlets go by the mantra, "All the news that's fit to print." That is, as long as the printed news fits where they think it should be in the grand scheme of things. There is an old fashioned name for this style of journalism - Propaganda.
