Don't really want to move to Texas, too many of them rednecks have already moved North.

mid February and it made it over 60 degrees today, ,so we broke the cabin fever and got a little range time in. Did not shoot the best but I did get to shoot.
Stopped at my friend/dealer/gunsmith on the way back home and checked on the air gun laws. In this state you buy and air gun/pistol it is just like buying a real gun, so we will stick with the real guns.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

Co2 vs. pump vs. springer

Post by boltbusterdw » Thu Feb 12, 2009 12:31 pm

Co2 guns are my favorite, the only negative to them is they are temperature sensitive. Once they get to below 70 degs., they loose a lot of punch. Works good for 70-90 deg though. Here is a pair of heavily modded Co2 Crosmans...

Multi pump guns are not temp sensitive but require lots of pumping :x
Here is a heavily modded Crosman 1377 pumper(converted to .22 cal)...

Then there are HPA guns which are the best of both worlds, but they get a little pricey, and you need either a high pressure pump or scuba tanks to fill them. I plan on modding the "predator" gun above to run on HPA.
Springers are my least favorite as they are very unforgiving in shooting technique. You have to hold them or sandbag them the exact same way or point of impact will change. They also have the bad spring recoil which is hard on scopes.
Here is a lnik to a forum which has a wealth of information on Crosman airguns and airgun mods...

Finally, an easy way to cut bolts!
