Looking for ideas

I have a fair assortment of holsters for my toys. Most are just loose holsters I thread onto whatever belt I'm wearing at the time, one is a "western" rig with integral belt, a couple have belts that stay on them.'

What I'm looking for is a way to store the holsters when I'm not using them. At the moment, they are in one of two piles: Either on the chair in my den or in the draw in the bottom of my gun cabinet.

Don't really have room for a wall mounted "hat rack" type peg system, and the idea doesn't appeal to me anyway.

Any ideas or examples of alternatives appreciated. I'm a reasonably competent woodworker so I can build most anything anybody could come up with. It'd need to be fairly compact and be able to store a dozen or so holsters.

Thanks...

I recall one where a guy used a shoe organizer that was hung on the back of a door. He had more holsters than I had socks, seemed to work well.

I was thinking more in the line of a over the door metal coat rack, the kind with several hooks - some of these have as many as 12 hooks. That would be great for hanging the belts.
