A DIY lethal cartridge mod?

I saw a movie character popping one of those tiny nitro pills for chest pain. I know I've heard they are lethal to someone who doesn't need it, and it reminded me of hearing it suggested to put them in bullets.
I suppose you could stick one in a hollow point round. I think though, even if it got into a BG's system, the effect would be too slow in most situations.
