Scope Adjustments

Post by Mr. Nail » Wed Jun 23, 2010 10:08 am

I have a Simmons 3 x 10 x 44 and it moves more than 1/4 inch at 100 yds when its stamped 1/4 inch at 100 yrds. Has anyone else ever ran into this situation.

Happens all the time.

Best thing you can do is figure out what YOUR scope does. Set up at 100 yards with a large target that is marked off in 1 foot segments. Shoot a round or 2 at one end of the mark, then move the scope (theoretically 48 clicks) and see where your group hits. Keep track of how many clicks it takes to actually move 1 foot. A little simple division and you'll have YOUR scope clicks.
