Scope recommendations

Well, I've got the trigger set to where I like it and switched the sights to standard blade, and have moved my groups into the black and mostly 10's

, but these old eyeballs and the progressive bifocals are still causing some problems.
I am considering a red dot scope and need some help. I have
NEVER fired a pistol with a scope. I shoot using the old traditional one hand stance.
Recommendations and preferences would be greatly appreciated.
The gun is a MK III 22/45 HUNTER.

bud33,
I use an UltraDot4Dot for anything out to about 50 yards. After that I use a Bushnell 2-6X scope.
The Ultra is a good buy at Larry's Guns and the Bushnell is $150.00 at Midway.

Jack, you got to get a bigger scope. My belief is you got to have a gun on your scope and not a scope on your gun

Len,
I'd get one like yours but I wouldn't be able hold it up straight. The scope is bigger than the pistol.
I hope you never drop that rig on your foot, you'll be cripled for life.

Ya gottause a little extra caution when you shoot a scope with a gun mounted under it, and use both hands or better yet a rest. Goingto mett some other old guys at the range and shoot bowling pins tomorrow.
