Women are good learners

Post by Hakaman » Fri Feb 04, 2011 8:51 pm

This video was shot at the Detroit Sportsman's Congress, the range I have been a member at. They are teaching women how to shoot.

Nice to see new women shooters getting introduced the right way into shooting sports. Far too often the bubbas are taking their wives/girlfriends out to a range and making that first experience an unhappy one.

(*with no intent to demean bubbas if there happens to be any around here)

That's a good thing about where I live as there is a lot of active shooting both indoors and outdoors, and the ladies are always welcome to shoot. There's always ladies at the steel matches shooting and we have a team called Charlie's Angels that shoots every Tuesday at the indoor range. Guess who Charlie is? Yep it's me. :D I have a lot of fun with the ladies.

Sounds like something the Duke would say. We won't press for details..............

I had an ex who hadn't touched a gun, and was out-shooting me after a few trips. Most men have a macho attitude, that shooting is in our genes and we're born knowing all there is about guns. Women listen and pay attention. With good instruction, they advance quickly.

We got a lady that's been having a hard time for awhile. She has had help from some of the best shooters in the county. It was a lot of fun last Tuesday when everything came together for her. She posted the highest score she has ever had, about a 10 shot improvement. The ladies and a lot of the guys were hooping and giving her their best wishes.

Yes life is good here as the old-man got a hug.. You'll never see that kind of excitement on a all male team..
