Actually hit 71 degrees yesterday, light clouds and little breeze. Perfect for the outdoor range.

The VQ additions to the Mark III did fine. The little bit of post and pre travel I left were unnoticable. I got a few 25 yard three shot groups under two inches, which is a good improvement for me.

My Single Six is still inconsistent. I think I'll finally give up and put a Monogrip on it, weird looking or not. It definitely squirreled around with winter dry hands on slick wood.

Took two Bobcats; started out worse than average after sitting 3 1/2 months. Fresh lube makes a difference on their feed and ejection. Took a couple of mags to "warm them up".

No 10/22 this trip, just have to try my DIY recoil buffers, I think they'll be okay next trip.

Stayed five hours and did about 600 rounds. A very good day. Now if they would just clean themselves......... :(

I did get a few decent 3-shot groups, most were around 4 inches, a few "flyers" outside the black on 25 yard slow fire paper. I guess that's why we shoot regularly. It doesn't take long to get really rusty, and my skill...... :rothfl: ......stays pretty tarnished.......... :crazy eyes:

4 months without shooting could result in a tad of rust. Nice to get out, wasn't it?

Yessir, it sure was. Loosens up some of the rust, at least. I find it a good stress reducer, and my life has its share. I imagine most folks are in that club with me.

I was going once a week into January, then work picked up and I slowed down ... and now I'm waiting for a bit more healing on an eye injury before subjecting it to concussive blasting.

So I know how you feel, I need some blasting! Next time I'm off work I intend to get in some stress relief and do some meaningful practice, plus I have two linted-up carry guns to test out.
