m16 or ak47?

guys, i am looking to get one of these great rifles,but i need expert advice. i need to know which one is a better "brush gun" i like the 7.62x39,never had any problems with it.but I've never shot a 223. i just need to know which one is overall just better.

I've never had either one, but I know the AK has a reputation for ruggedness, and you did say, 'brush gun". You can bury one in mud, shake it clean, and shoot it. AK's are cheaper, and there's less aftermarket "goodies" for them. That way you won't break the bank being tempted into buying every mod, like with AR types.
Only thing with an AK, you have to really look one over before you buy. You can find them still in grease, never fired, down to a prettied up worn out one.

The best question would be what do you intend to do with this weapon? That will better determine which to choose.

I've owned fine examples of both and much prefer the AR. You can buy a Rock River complete match((better trigger) lower reciever for $330 and then choose a complete upper reciever in 556,7.63x39,6.8 remington and many other choices from$300 up. You can have a match grade rifle. Regards
