I guess reliability is the #1 thing I look for in a carry piece. That might be why its almost always an airweight 38spl snubby. But I've carried just about every centerfire I got in the safe at one time or another. (Except the 4" 44 mag) .
But I still remember that all things can fail so I usually carry a spare mag for semi autos and a speed loader for the wheelguns.

I do have one of those 33 rd glock mags. I have loaded it once and shot it, but it seems to get expensive real quick doing it that way. I just keep it around for the novelty factor.

the 33 rounders are no more expensive than 30 round ar mags to feed......
