Replacement LCR-357 range trip

Went this morning, with the 357, the 22 LCR, and a Bearcat.

I only put 25 rounds thru the 357, but it did fine. Shot POA at 35 feet, like the previous one did. Used some .38 Remington Leadless I picked up last week. It's 125 gr, flat nose extended base, FNEB. It's still a lead bullet, but the jacket is sealed someway to reduce lead contamination at indoor ranges, according to Remington. I was outdoors anyway, but it served the purpose. No issues with ejection or anything else.

Split a Federal Value Pack between the LCR-22 and the Bearcat. Only one FTF in the whole box, and it fired on retry.

Only issue the whole trip was my lousy shooting. It was very obvious I hadn't been to the range since October, IIRC. My groups started out twice the size I would like, but got some better toward the end....

Good going its almost harder to shake the rust off than it is to aquire it. I had to qualify for the dept. last week and hadn't shot as much as i had in the past and I had a few more wide shots than I should have ........ the rust was noticable.

I know what you mean about getting the rust off. The first time I shot after my back surgery it was larger than I liked.I've started shooting weekly since I have to re-qualify at the end of the month. Practice practice practice is what it take to be good an anything...

Glad you had a good day at the range. Any day at the range is a good day. :D

Big deal for me, my usual groups are twice the size they should be. So that made these FOUR times the size they should be.........
