Anybody in here used Bullseye powder for your handgun loading? If not what powder is your favorite? And why?

I have used Bullseye, but I prefer WST, seems to be cleaner burning and I am getting good groups with it at 50 yards. I like the feel of the recoil better.

BE burns very dirty. I also use WST for my plinking and BE loads. I had some one at the range ask me what I was using because he new I shot 200 rounds and my SS pistol was cleaner than his after 1 magazine. He was using Unique which i dislike due to its poor metering properties. WST is a ball powder and meters very accurately. Now for full power loads my node goes to WSF for 9mm, 40 cal. W296/H110 for 357Mag. I shoot 38spl loads in 357 Mag cases using WST.

I used to use Bullseye powder exclusively, but when the manufacturing plant blew up and it got hard to find, I started using other brands.

I've used Bullseye for a number of loads and rounds.

Years ago, on another forum, there were long threads about how bad and dangerous Bullseye was and no one could safely load it because of power and pressure, if I recall correctly. But reading the expert commentary, I was surprised that my powder bottles didn't spontaneously explode. :D

I get good results with 9mm and .357 loads with Bullseye and will continue to use it if I can find it. If I can't, then I'll have all the fun of developing other loads.

I sort of like Bullseye powder, because it seems to have a wide range of loading options. Although, my primary go to powder is Winchester 231. W231 seems to burn clean and does a nice job. I load most everything with 231 including light Magnum loads. My go-to Magnum powder is w296 for those real earth-shaking Magnum rounds. I use Bullseye every now and then 4 my 38 Special rounds and still like it.

I know this is thread is a month old, but what the heck. I've used BE in my .45 acp loads for, I believe at least three decades. It is dirty, but that's what they make powder solvent for. Seriously, I like it because it works well and it's cheap.
