Thanks 'Bullseye'; 'greener': Sir; west of Warsaw south of virginnee; east of tennessey. How did your 'sticky' note compare to the 'Bullseye" :D

Bullseye: another question along the same line. My shooting buddy is planning to purchase in the next month; Ruger ?Stainless 6 1/2" maybe 22/45 fluted barrel something or other. Should we go ahead and order the pivot pin.
I see that you address the 22-45 but "I'm" a little vague.

Oh by the way: MERRY CHRISTMAS and may the NEW YEAR be yours. :D :)

If your friend is planning to get a new production 22/45 then a new style pin is already added at the factory. The new pistols started getting this feature in April/May 07. If for some reason you get a new one that doesn't have this pin then it is a simple call and a few day wait for it to arrive. Ruger won't send out a new style hammer pivot pin without the serial number of the gun that needs it. They may be tracking the serial numbers to ensure that all the old pistols are retrofitted.

Neophyte: As always, Bullseye is the master. My sticky was nowhere nearly as complete as his.

Location: If it is west of Warsaw, east of Roseboro, south of Hobbton and north of Ingold, I was almost close today. Recovering from a leisurely drive from Richmond to New Bern for 20 minutes work.

Thanks Bullseye; I crusie through here daily and thought I knew a little bit about something; low and behold; learning never stops. Thanks.

greener; Sir; needed a south westwardly wind. Got some folks out that way; and had no idea that anyone knew about Hobbton except the people that lived there.

Happy Holidays to all :D :D :D

Same here. Every time I think I know something, I find out I don't know quite as much as I thought.

When I attended the State College of Agricultural and Mechanical Arts, one of the folks in my research group was from your neck of the woods and another was from Rose Hill and one of my room mates was from Kenansville.

I'll have to order one for mine. I noticed the other day that the pin has backed out just a hair.

The new style pin works as designed. No more walking with the "headed" hammer pivot pin.

Just call Ruger and they'll drop one in the mail to you.
