Ruger MKII 22/45 Receiver on MKIII Lower???

Post by johnnywitt » Mon Mar 09, 2009 7:59 pm

Well I have a MKIII with the Clark Hammer Bushing and pin, so all the magazine safety parts are gone. If I buy a MKII 22/45 will the MKII 22/45 Receiver fit on my Clark modded MKIII frame?
I want to put my Tac Sol threaded receiver on the MKII22/45 Lower (I know that this will work). I've found I shoot better with the 1911 grip angle. My wife, who shoots the P7 HK likes a more slanted grip like the MKIII/II. So, it would be a win win for the both of us, if ithis will work.

Btw, how do the MKII 22/45's compare as far as the general quality to the new MKIII 22/45's? Did they have the problems with the hammer pin hole like the newer MKIII 22/45's? It seems like they have a fatter grip compared to the new MKIII 22/45's. Thanks for any advice.
