Very nice. Ya just gotta love a Ruger MKII Handgun. In fact there is something about .22 LR's in general that just seem to make them endure themselves to us forever.
I have a 1992 vintage Ruger MKII Stainless-Steel 5 1/2" Bull Barrel that was my late brothers. After my brother passed my Sister in Law sold me this Ruger.
Since this was a special Ruger to me I too decided it needed some modifications to make it even more special. I installed the following:
Clark Custom Guns Steel Ruger Trigger
Clark Custom Guns Ruger Grips (that I use in the summer time for shooting Gophers mostly)
Volquartsen Custom Volthane Target Grisp (that I use in the winter months for Bullseye Competitions)
Volquartsen Custom Ruger Target Sear
Volquartsen Custom Ruger Extended Bolt Release
On Target Guns Blast Shield
I had it drilled & tapped with the same hole spacing as the drilled & tapped Rugers. I used a Weigand Scope Base (that I shortened to stop at the front edge of the receiver) to mount an old 1" Illusion Red Dot Optical Sight that came with the Ruger from my Sister in Law.
I have since removed the scope mount and Illusion (gave that to my nephew) and have replace it with a Burris FastFire Red Dot Optical Sight with the Burris mount that fits in the rear sight dovetail.
This is one of those rare Rugers that basically shoots all ammo good. At our Indoor Shooting Range it'll keep 20 rounds of Remington BULK Hollow Points from the bench inside of the X Ring on a NRA B3 Pistol Target. Generally there is one ragged hole inside of the X Ring.
