Got it yesterday. $490 out the door. Fit and finish couldn't be better, except for the anodized ejector housing. The stainless EWK housing should be here tomorrow or next to take care of that. Grips are good looking laminated rosewood. I understand Ruger has went to laminate on all wood grips. I wish Hogue still made for Bearcat.

I would guess trigger pull is between 3 and 4 pounds out of the box, so will probably smooth out to three. Very tight lockup, good indexing, and barrel/cylinder gap between .005 and .006. I got an excellent example. Have parts stash and holsters on the way, too.

It may make it to the range in a week or two......

It sounds like you did really well. The Bearcat will make a very nice addition to your handgun roster. Keep us posted on your range experiences.

True to it's RugerForum posts, it's a good fit and looks better than the anodized factory housing.

I don't understand Ruger doing that. All their other stainless SA revolvers have stainless ejector housings. Ruger switched the Bearcats to aluminum in 1963, after five years of steel. The black finish aluminum is as much of a mis-match to blued as the silver anodize on stainless. Either way, it's a machined part, how much more would blued steel and stainless cost for much better guns?

Apparently every penny saved in manufacturing means the world to Ruger. I kinda wish they'd just go up a dollar or 2 instead of skimp on the details. The 10/22, for example, just gets a little cheaper made every year or so. Silver painted receivers and plastic parts--where do we go next?

The Bearcat, however, is still a jam-up gun. It's on my bucket list for sure. Congrats on yours.
