Same deal and cost as first, but through different LGS. I owed them some business, lots of browsing and just small items for months.

Have the aftermarket stainless housing on it, looks good. Only real difference between them, this cylinder/barrel gap is more a tight .007, where the first Cat was tight .006. This one's trigger is maybe an ounce lighter.

Now all I need is a two gun holster rig like Hopalong Cassidy .........

Congrats!

Is this the same ruger22 that was talking about downsizing his firearm inventory recently?

Yessirree, and this is part of the reason. Got a case of Bearcatitis, but not as bad as a certain OM's addiction to 10/22s........

I think two will do me....... :thumbs up:

Ruger22... Congratulations. I trust you will have a lot of fun with those 2 Bearcats.

As for Hopalong Cassidy.. now there is a name one does not hear much any more. Yeah, the Lone Ranger is known to all but Hoppy was special.. as was the Cisco Kid.

Loved them all as a boy.. even had a 2 gun rig for my cap pistols.

Maybe "downsizing" means getting smaller firearms, like the Bearcat.

I haven't seen many Bearcats for sale around Richmond and the ones I've seen have been priced at a premium.

Congrats on a good buy and enjoy.

Maybe we have a similar addiction. With yours, it has to end in "/22", and mine it has to shoot .22.

I've always had a preference for things being small and simple, I guess my gun taste would follow along. I would even prefer my Single Six to have fixed sights, but they were only stainless for a brief stretch. Don't know if I've ever seen one I could touch.

It's just took me a while to figure out what my gun likes are again.

Love to shoot them .22'ss, especially the rifles for some reason. I do shoot my carry guns now and then just to make sure they still work though, really prefer one of my 1911's. On a hot day the .38+P is alright with the .380 as a backup.

Been sorting through gun stuff all day, getting Mark III ready for sale. I decided to LGS it, they get 15% for consignment. I'll let it go with VQ parts, mags and holsters for $425 my pocket, so their price will be $489. The extra parts will go Gunbroker, I'll start with half what's in them.

I don't feel so bad, because I got a deal on the gun at Gander. I had a new Gander card, so that gave me 10% off, plus got a pile of Gander bucks to boot on a Christmas sale. That knocks a couple of C notes off what I'd be losing otherwise. And the third, black Bobcat is going straight sale, should be worth about a hundred and a half.

So that will take one Bearcat off the Visa, and part of the other one. If all goes well, the other guns stay.
