Mark II ejector ?

Post by GMAN » Fri Aug 10, 2012 9:43 am

I have a mk II 22/45 and my ejector is pretty loose. Should I leave it or should it be tightened? The gun works just fine. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it?)

It takes a special tool to set/tighten it up. So unless you start having problems I would not worry about it.

If you start having ejection issues then you can tighten it up. It is fastened by a rivet, so either you buy a special seating and bucking tool, or use another method. I recommend using some high strength Loctite 271 sealant and a clamp. That would keep it tight during it's use. You just have to be sure that the ejector is seated properly when you bond it.
