Well I finally found the perverbial window of opportunity to fire my MKII with the Millet Red Dot.
WOW! It was incredible.

First know that I sacked this gun several years ago because my old eyes just couldn't do the open sites any longer.

Then my buddy let me shoot his MKII w/ dot...and I was rejuvenated!
With some help from the ever reliable Bullseye and a Weigand rail I was in business.

OK maybe it's not life altering but pretty darn close.
I'm hooked!

BTW, my II has a stock trigger that comes in at a very nice 2.5lbs Does this seem to be the rule or the exception?

That's good news. Red dot scopes keep old eyes in the game. I love using mine. There is a weight trade off but the benefits of better sighting more than compensate for the extra heft.

Some pistols come out of the factory with decent triggers. Usually in the 2.5 to 3.5 range. Your's is on the lower side of the scale and isn't an exception but is somewhat rare. No need to change to a new aftermarket sear with a trigger weight at that level. Perhaps a dual adjustable trigger (pre and overtravel) screws would make the pull feel even better.

I've shot a pistol with a Millet scope. Really liked it.

I've got three of these little red dots now. Never had a problem with any of them. I think they are a good scope for the money.

+1 on the red dots! My Tru-Glo turned my Mark II into a totally different target pistol. I put an EOTech on my S&W MP15 and I can see how in CQB situations, you just about couldn't miss!

I've been bouncing between open sights and scopes, depending on mood. The red dots sure seem to make it easier for old eyes with bifocals.

I am going a different direction, I want to try my 22/45, without the red dot.

I bought it with a red dot already affixed, It didnt have any sites on it when I got it, just the red dot, I ordered factory sights for it and they are on their way.

I want to pull the red dot off and see what I can do without it. I am young so I think my eyes should be able to handle it guys
