Hey Folks: I've been doing my homework.
I would like to improve my MK11 Slabside target model.

I see where many of you have gone to Clark, Vol? and a couple of others.

In perspective: I have some abilities in reading, mechanical, understanding?

I haven't found the direct line toward MK11 standard trigger upgrading.
Piecing together, I have found differences in end result.

I really have enjoyed it for 10 plus years. Now I would like to make it better.

Finding one of your quality paths
1. crisp
2. sharp
3. clean break
The unit is 98% plus; routine .5 group.

Best, easiest, and most popular trigger improvement is in the sear. A VQ sear is the easiest and best upgrade to make when trying to smooth out or reduce pull weight on an MK series pistol. They have them here;

add a +1 agree on the VQ sear. It made a real difference in the trigger pull in my MK III. I also added the VQ trigger with the pre and post set screws as an added bonus.

A VQ sear and Marvel adjustable trigger made a new pistol out of my Mark II. Well, that and Bullseye's help and advice, of course.

If I had it to do all over again, I would do the VQ sear and VQ trigger with outside adjustments. Oh how much easier that is to adjust!!

This used to be called the Delta trigger when it was still being done by gunsmith tinkerers at home. The new VQ trigger allows for pre-travel adjustment without the tedious full dis-assembly to adjust it to its optimum calibration.

Seems to me the MK II Target's trigger is light and crisp enough for most all reasonable purposes.

When I got my Mk 5 1/4" Target, in a fit of youthful enthusiasm, I had a Clark trigger installed. Some slight improvement was noticed.

Do I like it? Yes. Would I do it again? Probably not. The $$ would buy more practice ammo, which would improve accuracy about as much.
The Standard model is a whole different story, tho. Definitely a yes.
