hi guys,

I've been thinking of building up a new 22 pistol for Bullseye shooting. I already have a ton of mark ii magazines and Im comfortable with the mark ii after working on mine a lot. I'm considering sending off a stock tapered barrel mark ii I traded for to Clark Customs for a conversion. Have been looking at the 6.25" ported barrel.

anybody had a pistol converted by Clark? was it worth it? also, any bullseye shooters have advice about barrel length on a mark ii?

thanks in advance!

Although this won't be exactly what your looking for, I had a Mk I customized by James Clark Sr. in the early 1960's. It had a 10 inch bull barrel with a built in muzzel break.

I shot this gun for almost 10 years without a problem and have never shot better scores.

For dot sight, 5.5" bull barrel.
For iron sights, the 6.7/8 long tapered barrel is excellent from the factory. With a Volquartsen rear sight added.

For dot or irons in combo, the 5.5 bull with Volquartsen rear.

Porting is not necessary.
