I just bought a NOS target rifle. It is new in the original box. The trigger pull is way to heavy. I backed out the adjusting screw to it's lightest setting. The best way to explain the trigger pull is that it's seems to catch and then suddenly let's go. I pulled the trigger and it looks like there is a "hook" on the trigger sear that catches a "hook" on the firing pin. I think this hook on the two parts is the problem. When you squeeze the trigger these parts have to cam past each other. Any thoughts on how to fix this?
