case-colored receiver on winchester 9422 .22lr

A friend has a 9422 .22 cal winchester that has a case-colored receiver. He said they made very few like this and they were quite rare and expensive but didn't say what he paid for his. I could not find anything like this in the latest "Blue Book" and was wondering if the gun was genuine or was an after-market case coloring job. Any input from anyone?

I have no idea if the CH is factory or not, but I'd like to see a picture of it nevertheless. Any chance u can post one when u get a chance?

I don't know for sure but it looks like that coloring Ruger uses; not true cooked colors.
