SA revolver speedloader?

Has anyone ever seen, or heard of these? I ran across an article by John Taffin and he mentions someone using one made from a tube, but he doesn't decribe it any further.
I suppose a plastic or metal tube with the right I.D. would work, and long enough for a reload worth of rounds. Would take some thought as to how to plug it, being sure you'd always unplug the bullet end.
Sounds like it might be useful. I may have found a new toy to go with my Bearcats and Single-Six.....

The Taurus one looks like it would work for an SA revolver, if it was cut down to six rounds. I just came back from the hardware with two feet of 11/32" (5/16 I.D) brass tube and some 3/8" thread protectors for caps (Taurus has red ones on their plastic tube, I see). Enough to make four six round tubes for about $8.
The Taurus ones are two for $15, plus shipping. I can't figure what the spring doohickey on theirs would do.
I'd like to do some better plug for the end that would open, maybe attached to the tube some way so it couldn't get lost. The thread protectors aren't easy to pop off. I thought I had some right sized rubber stoppers here at home, but can't find them so far.

The spring is used to control the feed of rounds into a tube magazine for a rifle. Press the spring against the rifle and feed the rounds. Prevents all the cartridges from sliding out and dropping onto the ground.

Okey dokey, good feature for that one. My project is on hold, as I can't locate any rubber stoppers smaller than 1/2" locally. Online sources so far will sell me no less than a hundred (!). Hardware store has little corks, but that wouldn't last. I could put a clevis pin clip through the end, but that would be a pocket snagger. I'll figure it out eventually.

check your local hospital lab. All their test tubes (like they use to draw blood) have rubber stoppers. Several different sizes, and they would probably just give you some if asked.

I've decided against making any for now. Not practical enough for the effort!
I'll stick with pocketing my .22s in 35mm film cans.
This Marble's Catch 22 ammo carrier would be useful if each hole held six instead of five rounds.

Many year ago when I was a young man, I think I had one of that style. They were great for loading tube fed rifles, as I remember, I think?

So a pair of those little speedloaders are on the way, I'll post up how they work for a tube-load and a NAA mini, at least.
If nothing else, I can load up a bunch of shorts in them for easy Henry shooting!

It holds 5 in each tube with .22lr - 7 in each tube with .22short - and 3 in each tube with .22wmr
But the magnum rounds don't come out easily, the rim is too wide.
I tossed them in the range kit for the next trip, we'll see how they do for reloading the Henry and the NAA mini.
